Halloween History Tour
Deptford Market Yard

In the mood for something spooky this Halloween? Our Disocver Deptford walk is taking a grizzly turn!

The 2-hour walk will take you through the rich historical areas of Deptford but this time with accompanying tales of ghostly, grizzly goings on, plus stories around the old Deptford Railway Station and Market Yard before it was redeveloped.

Led by London history expert and RADA trained walking tour guide, Sean Patterson, the tour will begin in Deptford Market Yard and the Grade II listed, Victorian Carriage Ramp - London's oldest listed railway structure.

From there we'll explore the history and redevelopment of Deptford’s station and Market Yard before heading on to Deptford Creek. You'll learn why Peter The Great, Christopher Marlowe, Samuel Pepys, Victorian poverty-mapper Charles Booth and Tahitian servant Mydidee all visited Deptford. A rich multicultural and maritime history underpin one of London’s most vibrant districts!

Optional: Come dressed for the occasion and the best Halloween costume will receive a complimentary Tea Pot of Cocktail at for two at Little Nan’s in Deptford Market Yard, post haunted history walk!
